K9 Companion

LENGTHY LOW CRAWL

You’re about to remember your grandpa’s message “100 feet backwards uphill. . .” as you crawl on your back under two soft nets spanning over 100 feet, your K-9 Companion will need to join you and follow you through as fellow competitors 10 feet away in another lane will be hot on your heels!

SAND TRAP SWELL

This isn’t your everyday golf course sand trap, you and your K-9 Companion will make your way through a span of the soft sand dune by entering one end and walking or crawling to the other. Trudging in soft sand is a first for many as you and your K-9 Companion take on this obstacle together.

DOCKDOGS® PLUNGE

We sure hope you and your K-9 Companion like water as you drop off the end of the platform into 40 inches of water in the DockDogs® competition pool. Swim or wade the length of the 40′ pool, and then climb out the 8-foot ramp, as that is all that is holding you back from moving forward!

UNDER / OVER CHALLENGE

You will be climbing under wooden police barricades and then you will be hurdling over plastic barrels in multiple lines – it sounds easy, but is it? This a true K9 Companion Challenge as your dog can crawl under with ease and you need to go over, all while staying together!

UNDER MOUNT WEDGEMORE

While the Recreation & Elite Division Runners have traversed over this 13-foot high wedge wall, you and your K-9 Companion will need to navigate under it. Sounds simple… well it is if you can navigate through the string of ribbons and objects hanging down.

MUD MAYHEM

We know that the pups love to play in the mud… question is will you as well. Traverse and navigate your way through the 50’ mud pit and keep your K-9 Companion from wanting to stay and play in it.

CLAUSTROPHOBIC CRAWL

Who will slow the team down? Will your K-9 Companion pull you through the tunnel or will you need to coax them through to follow you. Just like agility tunnels only made for Humans and K-9’s alike… crawl through and see the light at the other end!

WAIST DEEP WATER CROSS

Take one for the Team and make sure your pup stays dry, as you are required to carry your K9 Companion across this waste deep water crossing without setting them down until you reach the other side. Face licking is a bonus if it doesn’t distract you!

HAY BALE HIKE

As you and your K9 Companion approach this pyramid of hay bales, who will pick the line to go up and over? Something tells us you will be following your teammate, as they love to play in the hay.

STELLAR STAIR CLIMB

This is a cardio test like no other. Run, Jog, Walk, or crawl… makes sure you and your K-9 Companion climb them all. Oh yeah – remember in most cases what goes up…must come down!

FOLLOW THE LEADER FLOAT

We know your K-9 Companion can navigate across the narrow dock/platform with ease. Question is can you follow them with out getting wet yourself?

BRASH BALANCE BEAMS

Teamwork is the Key in the Brash Balance Beams! We decide which one of you can navigate the best over the balance beams ahead while the other walks beside. You had better practice both, as we don’t tell you until you arrive at this obstacle! Oh yeah, did we tell you that if you fall off or jump down you need to go to the back of the beginning of the line and start over?
